• MD Dermatology and Venereology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982.

Experience

• Senior resident and faculty at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh 1982-1998.
• Professor Dermatology from one of the largest public hospital at New Delhi in 1998 and served as Chairman of Dermatology department at AIIMS, New Delhi for nearly twenty years.
• Dean Academic Affairs and Professor and Head, Dermatology at ShardaMedical College and hospital, Greater Noida UP for more than two years.

Fellowship

• One year Fellowship in Leprosy Research at National Institute for Leprosy Research, Tokyo and Juntendo University , Tokyo, Japan, 1992-93 and became expert in Asian skin diseases.
• Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for Hospital Managaement 2015

• Received two ICMR national awards namely Lala Ram Chand Kandhari award for research in dermatology and Dr CGS Iyer Oration award research work in leprosy.
• Received Dr RV Rajam Oration by National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
• Recipient of Prof. KC Kandhari Foundation award, highest and lifetime award by IADVL 2017
• Times Of India Award for Achiever in Legend category for year 2018.
